A little bit about me ….as far back as I can remember, I’ve always loved being creative and sharing it with others.  As a small child I would color pictures, make clay critters, glue paper and various other creations, I would be so happy and eager to explain my creations that I would line up my dolls, stuffed animals, (and sometimes the dog) then I’d conduct a class to show them how to do the same (the dog really didn’t enjoy it as much as the dolls (LOL)
When I was 19 yrs, old my mom and I signed up for a cake decorating class, and we fell in love with the art of cake decorating. She was a natural at it, and we had a wonderful time exploring various avenues of the confectionary world.  Mom was a dietician, and she was ALWAYS cooking something up in the kitchen.  She made everything taste great (even the healthy stuff!) Our cake decorating addiction lead to open a little craft shop where we taught classes. Eventually we closed the shop, mom went back to her dietician job and I moved out of state to pursue my art career.
My job as an art director for an international company required me to travel a lot, and so I couldn’t teach or attend classes.  Fast forward to 2006 my mom got very ill, and so I quit my corporate job, and we all moved to Florida so we could be together again.  Mom’s wish was that we could teach cake decorating classes together again.  She passed away before we could fulfill her wish.  I promised her that each time I taught a class, SHE would be with me, (she is)
I have such a renewed passion and excitement for this avenue, I love it, and I owe it all to my mother, my husband and my son, they are the greatest influences in all my creative endeavors.
Teaching is my passion, it’s the perfect way to get in touch with people all while offering the opportunity for creative fun in a friendly atmosphere.
