Marcela Capo

I began cake decorating when I was about 15 when I took a cake decoration class. Since then, I was learning and improving until a day my teacher and friend Marcela Sanchez call me to join the Marta Ballina’s team. I participated in that marvelous group's work for 6 years before I took part in following magazines: “Decorando tortas de Marta Ballina” (from 1991 until 1997), “Preparando Chocolates”, “Fiestas infantiles” and “Confeitando Bolos”. I collaborated with Marta Ballina doing several videos and TV programs.
In 1997, I began to work as specialist in sugar craft, in “Todo Dulce” TV program transmitted by Utilísima Satelital channel.
In 1998, I launched my first magazine in Brazil: “Bolos & Dicas”.
In 1999, I took up in “Tortas y Pasteles” TV program, transmitted by Utilísima Satelital channel. In April of this year, my first book “Tortas Decoradas” was published by “Editorial Atlantida” . In September, my dream came true when I did my own magazine “Mis Tortas Marcela Capo”.
In 2001, I had the possibility to produce my own TV program: “Mis Tortas y su Mundo” which was broadcasted by Plus Satelital Channel and Gems Television to Argentina and American croutries. Nawadays I continuous editing books and magazines and I give courses in Argentina, where I have my workshop and in different countries of the world.
This is a beautiful activity to which every day I give it my big effort and love, and from which I get much satisfaction. I hope to transmit my enthusiasm, so each day there will be more people who make the sugar craft.
